Stibnite ore at Wadi Abu Quraiya, situated in the central Eastern Desert of Egypt has been subjected to petrographical, mineralogical, infrared, X-ray diffraction, chemical and spectral analyses.

The ore-bearing zones represented by quartz-stibnite veins and massive stibnite lenses are hosted by fault/breccia zones that developed within the lamprophyre dikes or at/near their contacts. The ore zones originated under the strike-slip (wrench-fault) regime, as is common for most Sb and Sb-Au vein-type deposits in Variscan Europe.
